Add the names and call phrases people actually use, such as Ann, James, or Mr Smith.
On-device Speech Recognition runs from the menu bar while transcripts stay in memory only for matching.
When a phrase matches, the bundled helper switches connected AirPods into Transparency mode.
EarsUp asks only for the permissions it needs: Microphone, Speech Recognition, and Bluetooth. It does not save transcripts.
AirPods mode switching depends on private Bluetooth behavior. It works locally today, but macOS updates can change the path.
